Homework Routine Starts Monday

Each day for homework you should: 

• Read for 20 minutes.  Fill out your reading log.  Get it checked by a parent to make sure it is filled out correctly. 
• Complete one page of the math packet. 
• Choose one task from the word study grid to complete.  Use your list of words to complete the task.  Don't forget to study their spelling for the test on Friday.  Focus on the spelling pattern for the week, because there will be 5 mystery words on the test, in addition to your 10!

Friday Word Study Test

Your child will take a test on Friday to see if they learned their words, in addition to the spelling pattern we focused on for the week.   Each child will also be responsible to learn 5 self selected sight words.  On Friday your student will be asked to use their 5 sight words in a sentence (with correct spelling, punctuation and grammar).
